New Albany, Ohio
New Albany is just northeast of the state capital of Columbus. Most of the city is located in Franklin County; only a small portion extends into adjacent Licking County and is a growing suburb in the Columbus area. With I-270 only 15 minutes away, New Albany is in close proximity to Port Columbus Airport and Downtown Columbus
Among the attractions in this affluent area are: The New Albany Country Club, much of the club’s golf course (designed by Jack Nicklaus), Market Square, Bevelhymer Park and the headquarters of Tween Brands. The New Albany Links golf course (designed by Barry Serafin) serves members and the public, features an 18-hole golf course; club house with dining, banquet facilities and workout facilities; an outdoor swimming pool and tennis courts. The northeast section contains the Mt. Carmel New Albany Surgical Hospital and the new headquarters of Bob Evans Restaurants. From The Limited and Tween Brands to Bob Evans Farms, TS24, e-Cycle and Pharmaforce, a division of Luitpold Pharmaceuticals, this city is home to some of the most successful brands in the country.
A network of parks, sidewalks, and 30 miles of leisure trails bring life and vitality to the streets. A number of leisure trails lead or connect to neighboring communities and other trails outside New Albany
The Ohio Department of Education has rated New Albany-Plain Local School District “Excellent” for the past four years, and most recently “Excellent with Distinction”. Private schools in the area include, Columbus Jewish Day School and New Albany Montessori School.
