“A proud heritage…. A promising future”
Welcome to London, Ohio, a rural community that is conveniently located between Springfield & Columbus with easy access to I-70. It is the seat of Madison County, and was established in 1810. Today it is the home of over 8,000 residents many of which love calling this community home. The city is well-situated near three interstate highways. Having Franklin County and the City of Columbus as neighbors provides the residents of London with big city amenities easily accessible from our rural community. The local schools, parks, library, churches, hospital and medical offices are of excellent quality.
Whether you are looking for an older Victorian home, a lovely newer home, or a great condo, London has something to offer everyone. The community is proud to be the home of two parks, numerous churches, Madison County Hospital, several nursing homes/assisted living facilities, the local library, and several large industries.
The city has several community events that it hosts annually including the Strawberry festival in June, the county fair in July, the Jazz & Rib Fest in August, and an Old Fashioned Christmas celebration following Thanksgiving. In the 2011 the city celebrated its 200th anniversary.
London public schools belong to four districts, Jonathan Alder Local School District, London Academy School District, London City School District and Madison-Plains Local School District. St. Patrick School is one of the private schools in this area.
